Matt’s hard work and determination has not only seen him secure paid employment but a Lifelong Learning Award. Wednesday, March 18th 2009, Matt was presented with the Black Country Training Group Learning Towards Employment Award by the legendary comedienne Ruby Wax.

It is with great pleasure that we can announce that on May 1st 2006 we were appointed by Walsall Council as their official recruitment partner, their one stop shop for all of their temporary recruitment needs.

The council wanted to have one company who they could contact whether they needed a grounds operative for the summer or an accountant to cover maternity leave. Having undergone a competitive and extensive tendering process we managed to fight off tough competition to win the highly sought after 4 year contract with Walsall.

Steve Stuart, Agency Co-ordinator at Walsall Council said: ‘The council’s main asset is its staff, permanent and temporary.


The quality of personnel will be crucial if we are to achieve our vision of becoming an excellent authority by 2008 and improve the borough as a whole.

Starting Point Recruitment were evaluated as being the best option for the borough in terms of cost and service levels and best placed to help us in our journey to becoming an excellent authority.’
