Matt’s hard work and determination has not only seen him secure paid employment but a Lifelong Learning Award. Wednesday, March 18th 2009, Matt was presented with the Black Country Training Group Learning Towards Employment Award by the legendary comedienne Ruby Wax.

IRP Awards 2009  


Dianne Hardy, Agency Manager, has been shortlisted in two categories in the Institute of Recruitment Professionals Awards 2009. The most coveted in the industry, the IRP Awards celebrate and recognise excellence in recruitment practice, honouring those individuals who have truly represented and upheld professionalism in the industry. In the words of the IRP this years awards will ‘celebrate both the cream of the crop and the high achievers that go that extra mile’.

Dianne has been shortlisted in the award categories of:

  • Best Client/Consultant Relationship
    for consistently demonstrating the ability to add value to client relationships.

  • Best Contribution to the Community
    for the individual who has used their skills and experience to benefit the community in which they work.


This achievement has come as fantastic news to everyone at Starting Point. Being shortlisted for the awards is recognition in itself of Starting Points innovative and community/client focused approach to recruitment having competed against entries from recruitment professionals from up and down the country. The awards for which Dianne has been shortlisted recognise the work that has been undertaken to support residents of Starting Point’s local community back into work as well as the development and delivery a highly successful and unique managed service through the building of an extremely effective client/consultant relationship with Walsall Council.

The winners of the awards will be announced at a prestigious awards ceremony on November 26th 2009.
